The 3rd Project Meeting of the Excel4Pro project was held on 17 July 2026 at the Alexander Innovation Zone in Thessaloniki, Greece, bringing together project partners to review progress, exchange insights and coordinate the next steps of the project.

Reviewing Progress and Planning Future Actions

A central focus of the meeting was the planning of upcoming Excel4Pro activities and initiatives.

Partners discussed the next actions of the project, including the organisation of the upcoming Summer School in Gebze, Türkiye, which will bring together students, researchers and innovation ecosystem stakeholders to exchange knowledge and explore emerging topics related to sustainable food systems.

The consortium also continued preparations for the upcoming Accelerating Innovation Programme, an important initiative designed to support innovation, foster collaboration and strengthen connections between researchers, entrepreneurs and stakeholders working towards the future of sustainable food.

Exploring Sustainable Food Solutions at Taste Forward Thessaloniki

As part of the meeting, partners also participated in the “Excel4Pro | Taste Forward Thessaloniki” event, focused on sustainable food systems and alternative proteins. The event brought together researchers, entrepreneurs, innovators and stakeholders to explore the future of food innovation, featuring contributions from alternative protein startups and brands, as well as a tasting session showcasing their products.

The session welcomed Deniz Ünver, co-founder of KORA and Panagiotis Magoulas, founder of Ovengan269, as speakers and was moderated by İlknur Şahin, Project Manager at Foodback, encouraging discussions on the opportunities and challenges shaping sustainable food systems.

Moving Forward Together

The 3rd Project Meeting marked another important milestone for Excel4Pro, strengthening collaboration among partners and setting the direction for the upcoming activities and initiatives. With the Summer School, Accelerating Innovation Programme, and training activities ahead, the consortium continues working together to support innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable transformation in the food sector.  A heartfelt thank you to our partner, reframe.food, for organising the entire meeting and ensuring its successful implementation.
