Who can benefit from the Open Call?
Startups and SMEs in Türkiye, Greece, and Ukraine can benefit from the Excel4Pro Open Call to develop and test their innovative solutions on alternative plant-based protein products and sustainable manufacturing processes.
What are the Open Call’s aims?
- Address a wide range of challenges by providing short case studies that will enhance innovation in the agri-food sector.
- Develop and test solutions focusing on novel plant-based foods and plant-based protein innovations.
- Enhance the Excel4Pro excellence hubs by adding developed solutions and forming a lasting partnership.
How will it be realised?
Phase 1 – Design
- November 2026 – February 2027
- Duration: 4 months
- Deliverable: Activity plan
Phase 2 – Development
- March 2027 – July 2027
- Duration: 5 months
- Deliverable: Report on Results/Outcomes
Phase 3 – Validation
- August 2027 – January 2028
- Duration: 5 months
- Deliverable: Final report or community-associated activities
What the Open Call provides?
The Excel4Pro Open Call will financially support at least 9 projects, with a maximum amount of 40,000€ per project. In total, 360,000€ budget will be allocated to startups and SMEs to implement their projects.
Proposals will be submitted digitally through the opencalls.fund Platform.
Proposals must be submitted before the deadline on April 27th, 2026, at 17:00 CET/Brussels time.
