Excel4Pro responds to this transformation by empowering innovation in plant-based proteins and sustainable food systems across Türkiye, Greece, and Ukraine.
With the launch of our Open Call, we invite startups and SMEs to co-create the future of food by developing innovative plant-based protein products and sustainable food processing solutions. This initiative aims to strengthen the agrifood innovation ecosystem and foster cross-border collaboration across the three countries.
Open Call Purpose
The Excel4Pro Open Call aims to address key challenges in the agri-food sector by supporting short, innovation-driven case studies. It focuses on the development and testing of novel plant-based foods and protein solutions, while strengthening the Excel4Pro excellence hubs through the integration of new solutions and the creation of lasting partnerships between innovators and the project ecosystem.
Who Can Apply?
- Startups and SMEs
- Based in Türkiye, Greece, or Ukraine
- Active in agrifood, food technology, biotechnology, or sustainability
- Developing innovative plant-based protein or processing solutions
Implementation Phases
- Phase 1 – Design (Nov 2026 – Feb 2027): Activity Plan
- Phase 2 – Development (Mar 2027 – Jul 2027): Results Report
- Phase 3 – Validation (Aug 2027 – Jan 2028): Final Report or Community Activities
