Name & duration: ROSETTA – Reducing food waste due to marketing standards through alternative market access (2025 – 2028)
Description:
Rosetta is a 3-year EU funded project that aims to evaluate the effect of marketing standards on the generation of food waste, to assess the impact of marketing standards on food waste and to propose sustainable solutions for the utilization of the food that does not meet marketing standards but is still safe to be consumed.
Name & duration: TealHelix – Building Resilience Through Inclusive and Personalized Food Labeling (2024 – 2028)
Description:
TealHelix is an EU-funded Horizon Europe project working to empower consumers through personalised and inclusive approaches to food sustainability. By applying motivational matching, TealHelix is developing labelling strategies and digital innovations aimed at addressing resistance to sustainability and improving everyday decision-making.
Name & duration: VISION4FOOD – Envisioning an integrated quadruple helix and RRI framework for FOOD system transformation and regional innovation ecosystem enhancement (2025 – 2027)
Description:
VISION4FOOD aims to build sustainable and resilient food systems by creating governance models that help local actors make better decisions. It works in five regions, with diverse challenges, strengths, and innovation capacities. A key goal is to establish food innovation platforms, collaborative hubs for researchers, businesses, policymakers, and citizens.
Name & duration: EU Food Safety Platform – A Multi-stakeholder platform for the EU Food Safety System by the FOODSAFETY4EU project (Launched in 2023)
Description:
The network is growing as a Science-Policy-Society interface by incorporating various elements and engaging multiple actors from the European Food Safety System. The platform as such an interface facilitates collaboration, communication, and co-creation among scientists, policymakers, and various societal stakeholders. By embracing inclusivity, transparency, and ongoing engagement, the platform is contributing to evidence- based decision-making, effective policy implementation, and to promote public trust in the field of food safety throughout Europe.

Description:
From harnessing on-farm processes to creating business models, VALPRO Path aims to turn food-chain actors towards sustainable plant protein production. Its mission is to pioneer fresh possibilities, validating and showcasing ways to enhance plant protein production for food and feed in the EU.
Name & duration: PROTWIN – Twinning Towards Scientific and Technological Excellence in Plant Protein Research (2024-2027)
Description:
PROTWIN is conducting innovative research aimed at deepening our understanding of plant protein functionality, including digestibility and interactions with gut microbiota. It will design the next generation of nutricious, appealing, and environmentally friendly plant-based food products.
